The Double Master Degree Program is a joint program between the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia and University of Burgundy (uB), France.

This program offers candidates the opportunity to register at both Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and University of Burgundy (uB), as students and have the opportunity to obtain a master degree from both universities having satisfied the requirement for awards from both universities.

The program is a combination of taught courses and joint research between the two universities. Students will have the opportunity to study at both universities and will have joint supervision of their projects from the academics of both universities.

Candidate is registered as FULL TIME student with both universities and be awarded a master degree from each university after completion.

The duration of the program shall be between 4 semesters (minimum) and 6 semesters (maximum) and are conducted in both countries.

The awards are:

i. Master of Engineering (Electrical – Mechatronic and Automatic Control) – UTM;
ii. Master of Science in Computer Vision – UB (Diplôme de Master Domaine Sciences , technologies, Santé Mention Sciences et Technologie de l´Information et de la communication Spécialité 3I – Image, Informatique et Ingénierie)

Students will study in UTM in Semester I and II. Student will study in UoB in Semester III. Student will have a choice of study either in UTM or UoB in Semester IV.

SEMESTER II (Study in UTM)

4 Technical courses -12 credits

Research Project Part I -3 credits

SEMESTER III (Study in uB)

1 UoB compulsory course - 2 credits

TOTAL 14 Credits

SEMESTER IV(Study in UTM or uB)

Research Project Part II -5 credits

TOTAL 5 Credits

TOTAL CREDITS FOR MASTER DOUBLE DEGREE IS 48 CREDITS

Program Fees :

For Malaysians : RM17,000 for four semesters

For Non-Malaysians : RM22,000 for four semesters

The fees are NOT inclusive of travel and living costs.
